Every town has usually a museum of local history, Chesterfield is no exception, Chesterfield was a base for Romans, George Stevenson, Robinson's, Chesterfield canal. Definitely worth a visit

Visited chesterfield tons over last 20 odd years never knew this existed! Free entry and brilliant little insights into life previous in Chesterfield. Learnt lots of stuff I didn’t know about the town. Very interactive for younger children too.

Been in Chesterfield for 18 years and never visited before but decided to pop in during school holidays for a short visit. Really friendly staff, really well exhibited displays and items to view and overall a short but really enjoyable visit.
