What a little gem of a place to visit. The volunteers are so passionate and knowledgeable of the working and history. Young and old can enjoy this activity and learn from the past. Amazing and so glad it is kept and history passed on.

We visited this small working mill and were thoroughly entertained by two local volunteer guides who relived for us the history and workings of the place. Very small but full of the past and properly interesting

We visited on the Sunday, 25th March 2018 and was warmly welcomed. We had an excellent introduction to the workings and history of the mill by two of the volunteer guides, Fantastic insight to how a mill works. Thank You.

We came to see this having been to Hardwick Hall and were blown away. The man who showed us round was extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to listen to. The place is fascinating. Well worth a visit!

Check times for opening as this place doesn't open the same times as the Hall and it would be a shame for you to miss out. Its a traditional corn mill powered by water and still in working order although it doesn't get powered up...More
