We stayed here on a Friday night a few weekends ago. The house itself and the room were amazing. The menu for dinner reads really well due to the fact there was only 4 of us in the restaurant, it lacked a bit of atmosphere,...More
Lovely venue set in attractive parkland. We went here for afternoon tea and believe me, it's a real feast!
Beautifully presented and laid out in an attractive drawing room ( though we understand you can choose the venue). Bit of mis-understanding of what constitutes vegetarian...More
Went with friends for a spa day. Dirty pool, tiny changing room, slow service for drinks, tired furniture with worn patches and poor facial to top it off. Shame. Afternoon tea was the only OK bit. We won’t be going back.

Husband booked via secret escapes for out wedding anniversary. Lovely little hotel, log fires, Christmas trees and a huge afternoon tea. Everyone was friendly and accommodating to us and our dog.
It's a real treat to find a hotel that is truly dog friendly.
Not sure, when we went it all looked and was beautiful, we didn't go down the steps to the Grotto. But looked from the top and as far as we could make out, once you were down the steps The Grotto was lovely! (Not sure if... More
