Stourhead includes a Palladian house and world-famous landscape garden. The garden is perhaps the most beautiful and magical of all the great landscape gardens, Stourhead is an 18th-century view of an Arcadian paradise. On a plateau of high ground Stourhead house was built and became home to generations of the Hoare family.

Well this place totally blew us away with it's beauty. Amazing walk around Stourhead and can't think of a more perfect picnic spot by the lake. Stunning. Don't think I've ever said wow so many times in one day.

Interesting house with many unique artefacts and splendid gardens with a lake. The Rhododendrons were in full bloom and it was a beautiful sunny day.
