Nice walk, not much added by being National Trust members! There is a NT car park, but that’s about the only benefit. We were passing through and stopped by and we are glad that we did, although probably wouldn’t make a special trip out for...More

The clappers is a great open space to take dogs and children for a walk. There are stunning views over the Bedforshire countryside on a clear day. Ideal for picnics in the summer

Starting at the car park there are plenty of signs saying which path to take and for how long you wanna take it ( ranging from 1 to 3 hours, if I remember correctly). Lovely walks, keeping to the paths, and all easily signed every...More

This area has multiple paths, which is a bit confusing-- the map is the parking area is no help because the orientation is not oriented to the ground-- to get to the Waddenhoe Clappers, squeeze to the opening on either side of the gate to...More

Fairly small car parks that get crowded in summer, but I walk here as local. Don't forget to visit the Robertson memorial in the trees (1 of about 6 in England). The steps at the north end are not for the unfit!

Went here for a walk on a beautiful spring day. Lovely views. Wonderful countryside. Lots of cars in the car park, but still possible to get away from it all.

We've been meaning to walk up and around Sharpenhoe Clappers for as long as I can remember and we finally took the plunge. We made a bit of a mistake by not parking on the main road but turning left (from Barton) and parking in...More

This is a lovely area to walk your dog. You park in a free car park that lies half way up the hill on the road between Streatly and Sharpenhoe. From there you can walk towards Barton Le Clay or decide to cross the road...More

Easy car park, and lots of easy walks. Some are through the beech woods with long views over the fields and villages below. There are also wide fenced off routes around the edges of fields making a varied and easy range of walks of different...More
