About
Joburg's first and finest outdoor market, established 43 years ago, it is a magical place removed from the rush of everyday life, offering inspired crafts and wholesome food. Located 20 minutes from Sandton with free entrance. On offer are quality artisanal products that are locally produced from organic and natural materials and ingredients. Shopping options include a wide selection of arts and crafts, clothing, accessories and jewellery, health and wellness products and quality curios and collectables. Organic fresh produce, bakery and delicatessen products complete the selection. There are also several coffee shops and eateries where you can enjoy a healthy and wholesome meal or snack in a shady environment to the accompaniment of live music. A conscious living space where we lead by example and like-minded people come together to share and to learn. An experience that is more than the purchase of a product.

I love this serene place in Johannesburg. Great for shopping everything from gifts and souvenirs to organic produce. Having coffee here, under the trees, listening to live piano is one of my favorite pastimes in this otherwise always busy town.

So many organic products, lots of interesting stalls in a congenial atmosphere. we found the food expensive and the parking is limited and more suitable for 4X4 vehicles

It’s situated in quite a remote place which is tucked away from main road. Small but totally cozy with good craft. We watched would cup rugby and ate at the place with the local.. totally soaked up the atmosphere.

Bought many nice organic food and gifts. It’s worth a visit with good coffee and cakes.

A lovely open market , with all the south african tradtions. From a burtchery to hand made necklaces to musical instruments . The sun shone down on a gorgeous thursday morning music playing in the back ground. Lovely enthusiastic people selling their pride and joy in what they have created. We had scones jam and cream with a touch of cheese which I love , tea was ok . R50. Brought a few items to take back home . So in all was a lovely trip.

Thank you for reviewing our market and for your kind comments. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your visit and left with happy memories. Our sincere apologies for "South African" weak tea - it is the way the locals like it!!

If you enjoy markets, this is a must visit. The setting is lovely and the atmosphere very relaxing and charming. Lots of natural and organic products on offer as well as some special items for tourists and gifting or just a glorious self indulgent treat. The food is good and natural and there is usually live music that adds to the overall experience. Highly recommended.

The location is great. 40 Culross Road. Neighborhood Farm stalls. The atmosphere and vibe is awesome. Lots of fresh produce and baked goods. There are t-shirt printing and candlemaking to keep the kids busy.

That Market is awesome, have a special environment and soul, similar to the hippy market in Ibiza. We got a sunny day, my son plays in the sand of the babies area, close to one of the restaurant and the piano area. Many biological food, handcrafted art gadgets and jewelry. Much more better that go to a shopping mall. We will come back soon.

A friend and I visited the market, which is open on Thursdays and Saturdays from 9am to 3pm. This was our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a lovely vegan, banting base pizza with homemade lemonade from one of the stalls. My friend bought some granadilla kombucha that was delicious. We also bought pearl earrings and some wool. A lovely way to spend a few hours in Johannesburg.
