The temple has started to show a bit of wear and tear, especially the statue. The road leading to the temple is not all sealed and therefore after heavy rain, could be problematic for some. The size of the temple is about average and the...More

The Heavenly Queen gazes serenely over the Maribyrnong River. I had seen this from the train and made the trek to Footscray on Sunday to find the temple. Down a narrow dirt road - trusting in Google maps - we came across the enormous temple....More

We saw this beautiful temple from the street and decided to visit and took some photos. Too bad it was closed, so we can only took photos from outside the fence. Couldn't see the beautiful statue of Kuanyin from where we parked.

I only passed by, looking over the fence, but it looks very impressive. There were workers at their job, so I did not want to intrude. The designs are very colourful and intricate. The scale of the buildings impressive, too.

Heavenly Queen is a hidden gem in Melbourne with such a recent history and hidden beauty. Located within an industrial part of Footscray it's easy to forget you are so close to the CBD. Volunteers there are always friendly and welcoming. I love walking around...More

Once you get past the dodgy Looking road which had us saying 'where is this taking us!' The temple and heavenly queen are both a beautiful site! It is in a great spot by the water, very pretty.
