There are better fortified churches in Transylvania but the is one of nicer altars. Closed from 1 to 3. 6 lei entry fee per person. Memorials on the wall to German war dead and a list of local citizens deported to the Soviet Union. Forgotten...More

In city center of Sebes you'll find this big church with a nice arhitecture. I didn't see the inside (open 10 AM), but outside is very beautiful!

Sebeș / Mühlbach is one of the key German cities when the "Saxons" came in the country in the 14th century. The church is one of the remaining testimonies. Unusual altar for a protestant church. Opening times are irregular, but worthwile to visit.

It is beyond me how this gem of a church is virtually unknown! It's huge and the gothic architectural ornaments are better preserved than at either Brasov and Sibiu cathedrals. The visiting hours are 10-13 and 15-17. I wish Sebes would do a better job...More

The Evangelical Church in Sebeș is the town's best known attraction, built in several phases between the 13th and 15th centuries. Its most striking feature is given by its double-style architecture, showing a romanesque tower and nave, and a gothic chancel. It holds the largest...More
