A wonderful location to observe the solent water traffic. It is attractive because it has not been spoiled by unnecessary features. At its best at the end of a hot summers day, but also valued all year round.

Popped down a few times over the hot weather and had a bbq on the beach and swim. Sunset is nice too

Rode over here from Lymington - discovery by chance following signs to Calshot trying to find the sea ! Great views from here and very peaceful - didn’t have my swimming gear with me - otherwise I would have jumped in as it was 30deg...More

Lovely day at the beach only spoilt by the cafe in the activity activity centre. Take sandwiches or a bbq and enjoy the peace and quiet

Great place to swim and sit afterwards, with wonderful views of the Island and passing ships. Useful that there are now toilets.

Yes. Dogs are allowed and there is plenty of space. I think there are dog waste bins too. There is a road the whole way along so just keep an eye on cars.

Not sure also about Calshot but almost directly across lies the Hamble River (we live at Warsash - famous for Lord Lovatt and 'his' piper on D-Day -1) there are always crabs - large ones as well on the slipways and the small... More
