It's a paradise. There us a stunning view of all surroundings hills...We got married in the church here 6 years ago and every time we go back ti visit the family we visit here. We love and reccomend this place!
Having booked a visit with our hotel we had a fascinating but slightly speedy (due to an imminent wedding) tour around the monastery, church & crypt. We learnt loads- who knew that they kept the monks for 6 months after death before "picking " them!
We were lucky to have a personal tour by Giuseppe Adamo of the monks living quarters. I found it utterly fascinating - the bedrooms, latrines (!) kitchen and eating hall are all well preserved. There is also original equipment for farming, shoemaking and food preparation.
