The striped basilica with it's tin towers looks special on the outside and the stripy pattern continues on the inside, giving it a special aura. The ceilings are beautifully painted, creating the idea of being outside.

Locals are very Catholic, and every mass on Sunday is packed. They drag chairs in from the plaza to accommodate overflow worshipers. Walk in off prime time, and feel the spiritual vibes.

I was told by people from town that the church was built up thanks to the sins of the populations in Jardin. The priest asked them to bring a stone for every sin they committed

Located in the center of Jardin, this church is truly breath-taking. The stone work is incredible, the ceiling is beautifully crafted, and overall is an amazing colonial building.

The imposing structure of the Basilica cannot be missed. The architectural style is rather distinctive. It is also interesting inside

This church is in the main plaza, and is a great example of colonial architecture. The outside is amazing, and when you enter the inside is also spectacular.

This is an architectural gem on the inside. Don't miss the stained glass and vaulted ceilings. The statuary is typical. Service was happening in the evening we attended
