I took the first boat over (9a) and the last boat back (6:30p). I think I could spend another day crawling around on the ruins. There is so much to see and so much ground to cover. When I got off the boat, I went...More

The site at Delos is absolutely stunning, with fantastically well preserved ruins and mosaics, with the Theatre being a personal highlight. For any fans of the ancient, it’s a must see However, the site feels quite unloved and very much geared up for the tour...More

We took the first boat over and needed the whole time, taking the last boat back. There are 3 trails which can link into a larger trail which are all worth doing. On top of that there are trails to other ruins worth visiting. Whilst...More

This island is one of a kind, the only island in the world to be totally part of Unesco. You can only guess its greatness, I hope they will keep working to rebuild the buildings.

Having seen many archaeological sites (Epidaurus, Olympia, Delphi) here in Greece, Delos tops the list. I am glad that we did not skip it. We did the visit on our own as I read many reviews on tours being a bit chaotic. It is very...More

As I understand it there are two tour companies which operate to Delos - Delos Tours and Delos Travel. We went with Delos Travel, recommended by our hotel. Tip #1: Make sure you purchase your tickets or exchange your voucher at the kiosk at the...More
