So it was OK. There were some interesting archaeological and mineral specimens but nothing spectacular. The view and the walk in the reserve are really nice.

The building is the most impressive part of this museum. It is housed inside an enormous dome with construction principles not unlike Montana Magica. The collection focuses on Mapuche culture, which was and is strong in this part of Chile. There is adequate information and...More

The museum is spacious, clean, and well appointed. The first two floors are, according to the gentleman that gave us a brief introduction, actually the bottom to floors of a to-be-completed museum. These are the only floors available for viewing. They display silverware from the...More

Before or after lunch on the nearby Petermann brewery, this can be a great program for the whole family. On the walk to the museum (about 15 minutes) there's wild boar and deer to be seen. The museum is a Hobbit-like building, where you can...More

A bit out of the way but worth the effort. Part of a huge incomprehensible complex of hotel, breweries, Eco trails, spa. The facilities are expensive but not the museum. Past the town of Neltume and a few yards before the magic mountain hotel. Left...More

Fairly nice museum to be in the middle of nowhere. I was somewhat disappointed that they wouldn't allow photographs.

After having seen the fantastic national museum of pre-columbian history in Santiago, this place feels like a storage room. For obscure reasons it is not allowed to make pictures. Inadequate description. Boring.
