About
Cave of Enebralejos, near the village of Prádena de la Sierra, is the most important of those known in the province of Segovia. Since its entry the cave presents us beauty of its halls and galleries adorned with a splendid set of calcareous concretions: stalactites, stalagmites, columns, flowstones and draperies occur as we get into it. We also find numerous examples of the use of the cave as a necropolis by our ancestors from the Chalcolithic in the form of paintings and engravings, which have been dated to about 2500 BC. In the environment of Enebralejos the atmosphere of a prehistoric settlement of the beginning of the age of metals is reproduced, from over 4000 years ago. Through this visit is possible to know the ways of life of its ancient inhabitants.

Excellent guided tour

We found the caves by accident, looking for something to do in a town nearby. They are beautiful caves used thousands of years ago. Carlos was a excellent tour guide and he made sure the children were included.

Amazing prehistoric cave!

I stumbled upon this cave by searching for something else to do in the Rio Duraton area. They have limited hours of operation and the entrance to the cave is guided. But it is a great place to visit with school aged kids. They have prehistoric drawings and grave sites inside the cave. As well as other interesting sites! Will definitely visit again!

Well laid out cave with great guide

Unlike many places in Spain, the guide, who was supposed to do the tour in Spanish, made sure that those who spoke English were able to participate. He was informative, polite and genuinely concerned for all the people on the tour

Great guides, beautiful and fascinating caves used by humans 4000 years ago as a tomb. Well worth the visit. Important to book in advance.

200 meters with untouched and genuine cave. The great guide Mr. Carlos turned our visit into a really fun experience. I extremely recommend visiting this cave.
