The castle is great .. but the place itself is really worth a visit! You can hang out, you can eat something, there’s lots to see and they’ve got great medieval activities to challenge each other!

The 'castle' is actually a defended house but it is quite impressive as such. We got an organised tour (3pm in English) which showed up a lot of the features very well. One thing the guide missed, the high-quality tapestry shows the story of King...More

My wife and I stopped here cycling from Ystad to Brosarp. I'm glad we did. Glimmingehus claims to be the best preserved medieval castle in Scandinavia and it is very well preserved. It's great to be able to visit an old structure like Glimmi and...More

Fine old castle. Interesting insight into living in Sweden. Information in English. Small cafe but didn't try the food.

Went here and took the guided tour which was both informative and entertaining. Also liked the expo of the people who have lived in the castle. Had a nice lunch in the cafe.

The Glimmingehus is a nice location to visit for a short stop during a day trip in the Swedish countryside. We visited on a partially sunny day and had a ncup of coffee afterwards in the cafe in the courtyard.
