Out of Munich one can reach the ski area by car within 45 minutes. By train and bus it takes somewhat longer. The ski area is relatively small, but ideal for younger children or beginners. The Skischule Spitzingsee is the best.

This is a rather small ski area with about 10 lifts. Most of the people here are locals or from nearby Munich, which is about 1.5 hours away. You can get through all the slopes within a day. The condition of the snow is fine...More
