I didn't find the staff at the front desk particularly welcoming, it wasn't like they were overrun with visitors the day I visited. Collection is interesting although WWII vintage aircraft are noticeably mission. If you are interested in aviation and are in the area it's...More

This is a great display of older aircraft. It is well laid out and easy to see all the displays. All descriptions are in German So, you will need a real aircraft buff with you to explain or maybe they have headphones that explain in...More

This is a good place to go after the Brockenbahn train ride or if the weather is miserable. Some interesting items in the collection, MiGs and parts, etc. Great for kids. Good wifi in the museum.

The Luftfahrtmuseum had a lot of aircraft including prop planes, jets, and helicopters, and it also had a lot of pieces of planes, including cockpits and engines. Everything is displayed in plain hangers and the overall feeling is that you are walking through a warehouse...More

Just the right place for a rainy day! Some really interesting aircraft from East and West, with an English language tape guide. You need to allow plenty of time to visit, and probably take a taxi to get there, but it is worth it.

Visited the museum with my father in law, enjoyed our visit. Bit cold in the hanger, take a warm jacket if visiting in winter. Plenty of exhibits shame there is no English information about the aircraft. Small café is worth a visit to warm up....More
