Beautiful city in the Bavarian region. The whole town can be seen by walking. Bamberger dome isn't much different from rest of the architectural buildings in Germany but still worth a visit.

Most of the cathedrals in this region are exceptional examples of either Romanesque or Gothic architectures. This cathedral is no exception and is worth a visit. There are some really interesting sculptures inside the cathedral including one of a noble on his horse with is...More

Large and imposing, the cathedral sits on a higher part of the old town. The interior is austere but atmospheric.

Impressive from the outside. Not so exquisit on the inside. One of the symbols of Bamberg, a bit out of the center.

An impressive exterior which is sadly not matched by the interior. Inside is quite plain, with virtually no stained glass or ornamentation.

Replacing Henry II Cathedral destroyed by fire in 1185, the Dom was built 1237. The combination of round and pointed arches reveals that it spans the Romanesque and Gothic styles. We saw thee tomb of the canonized Imperial couple Henry II and his wife Kunigunde....More

Very nice place to visit. On top of mount there is a large garden with a great view on city where you can have some fun to take pictures. Unfortunately, church was closed due for repair. Nevertheless I recommand it to climb it.

Compared to many other cathedrals visited in Franconia/Bavaria, this is not quite so ornate. Nevertheless, it merits a visit and inspection. We get a lot of pleasure from wandering round cities and towns and then finding a church or cathedral simply to reflect on all...More

Gorgeous cathedral, beautiful places and views walking around. There is a little renovation going on but you should still get great pictures! Walk down the hill and grab a beer and visit the beautiful town.

Hi, We visited this year and I see from the plan that the Sacrament Chapel is marked number 13 and is on the left hand side entering from Adam's Portal just before The Chapel of the Nail. Hope this helps.
