Amazing view! Col du Galibier is at the border between Savoie and Hautes Alpes departments, France, at 2642 m altitude. We had the chance of a perfect weather: sunny, the blue of the sky was incredible... blue (!), no wind, the air so fresh! The...More

Personally, I love this col. I've been across it a couple of times now by bike - both in sportives and just for fun. I absolutely love it, nothing else comes close for me. The climb from the Lautaret to the Galibier is something to...More

Rode this sucker again this week, 8 years after the first effort. Always tough, it is not a classic TdF climb because it is easy. The last kilometre is super tough.

Well we wanted to challenge ourselves so we chose to cycle up the Col de Telegraph and the Col du Galibier, it was very hard going but worth it in the end

The "must do" climb for any cyclists in the area. We found it tough but the scenery is stunning and well worth the effort. We are blessed with excellent weather - the snow arrived the day after we were there so expect that from mid-September....More

Been up this road by car in all weathers and always wanted to cycle it. Job done, an amazing ride up from col de Lauterat in brilliant weather. Did it on mountain bike and then did the off road descent all way back to Villarr...More

As you'd expect from here the view is outstanding. As we had taken the say route and travelled by car on our way down to Italy we didn't suffer the pain of those who cycled. Take care to give them plenty of room particularly on...More

Traveller by motorbikes. The Street is really bad. Dangerous because you cannot really see where the road is going to.

Due to road construction elsewhere in the valley, we took this road up to the pass instead of the recommended (toll road) Frejus tunnel. It s clearly worth the detour. The view is breathtaking. You feel quite small up there!

I rode this entire stretch of road last week. It is open and there is no obstruction. Anything can happen in the future of course.
