The views from the Western Terrace are the most incredible, the lower section of the island, the bay, surrounding countryside, and the commercial district of Mont-Saint-Michel. The Eglise Abbatiale is also accessed from this terrace. It is also a good place to catch your breath...More

Amazing views, many seagulls started and crying around, nice to observe high tide and low tide, the roll playing of the wawes, a real nature spectacle sight.

Wonderful view. You can watch the tide, the people walking on the beach and the Isle of Jersey... Listen to seagulls

This Terrasse is a bit bigger and has enough space for a little break while watching the tide. To get there you have to climb various stairs, so be prepared.

Yes you can see a long way across the sand flats but the view itself is not very interesting. Once you are up there it is worth a look but I am not sure I would travel very far to see it.

The whole bay is stretched out before you from this promontory. The tide was low and you could see groups of people walking across the tidal basin for what seemed like a mile out towards the sea!

Predominantly of Brittany, especially if you have the Abbey to your rear. The large terrace is a fantastic place to soak up the views of both Brittany and the Abbey. I should mention the North edge of the terrace also looks to Normandy. 1801.

Another great area to stop and take a breather and view the flats or water that stretches to infinity. Look up and see the clear skies stretching away too and feel the expanse of the area.

The view is breathtaking especially on low tide. The empty space around is infinite and the feeling is above any word you can say.

It's an amazing view to see this tidal area when tide is low. Look almost like a moon, so unusual. Some brace people go there for a walk.
