The abbey is an absolute must-see if you’re in the Normandy/Britanny region. Hugely recommended. Even the enormous crowds brought in by the newish permanent bridge to the mainland can’t impair the experience of seeing such a magnificent building. Make sure you take the guided tour....More

Memorable walk to the Abbaye. The building is a must see if you are in the north of France. Crowded. Be prepared to ascend many stairs to reach the top. Worth the stretch to go and see.

Magnificent abbey at the top of Mont Saint Michel. View from the terrace is amazing. We can witness how tide moves and in few minutes the island was surrounded by water. In the summer better to go after 5 pm, less crowded and the Abbey...More

We paid a jump the line ticket for adults through Tripadvisor. This was £8 each but saved queuing in 25C temps for 30 mins.

You do not need to take a tour from someone, get the audio guide it was great and you go your own pace and not silly questions that person in the group.
