Some nice, reasonably priced hotels plus cafes and restaurants for varying budgets. However be prepared if venturing midweek and/or low season for the very scary drive up the twisty and very steep road a few kilometres up to the ski-lift parking area as NO ski-buses...More

We enjoyed our time at Gerardmer ski resort. Easy to rent skis and snowboards, well maintained slopes for the amount of people. Slopes for everyone.

Gerardmer is not a skiing resort as such, you need the car or the navetter to get to the lifts and good walking legs if you wish to do Nordic skiing as the navette does not get you there. I cannot comment on the alpine...More

Very appreciate Ski Resorts in winter , often many snow, and when not they bring artificialy snow and sky goes on. A paradise for sky and sport lovers, and to go with familys and friends, Many nice walking pads in the snow.

A beautiful ski area with slopes going through the forests. Perfect for beginners and also suitable for skiers that will explore the area for a few days only. The only thing is that it is quite crowded to enter the first chairlift during the week-ends...More

The Vosges are much easier to access than the Alps if you are coming, as we are, from Belgium. 430 km and 4.5 hours driving time from Brussels. Lodging (and everything else?) is cheaper too. In fact we found food reasonably priced compared to home....More
