This old couvered market become a moder museum. The basic collection houses a Delacroix and a film about its restoration. The temporary exhibitions are incredible discoveries on JeanneMarie Barbey and the donation of Genevieve Asse.

When we visited there were two very good exhibitions of local painters, including Genevieve Asse who was born in Vannes and has shown at the Pompidou. Adjust your expectations before visiting - it's not Tate Modern and there's no Matisse or Picasso.

A beautiful building, worth seeing even without the art. The permanent exhibition is rather small, although interesting and all with local significance. However the visiting exhibitions often make up for this. The current one on Jack Kerouac is stunning.

Literally a handful of XIX century paintings by some third grade local artists and a lot of god-awful "contemporary art". Go to Pont-Aven, go to Quimper, go anywhere but don't waste your time on this "museum".

I do not usually leave negative reviews but make an exception for this place. €26 for 4 most of the exhibits look like class 2 at the local primary school had done the work on a bad day. Save your money and go elsewhere absolute...More

We went to this museum because a guidebook said it had works by artists I like, such as Paul Helleu. The entrance fee was about 4.5 euros. It was not at all worth it. There were few works on display. Upstairs there was an exhibit...More
