Worth a short drive from Vannes if you are wanting a swim or to visit the coast. The basin swimming pool is filled with salt water from the sea. The beach area is now smaller, so will get crowded in summer, but the walk around the headland is always pleasant.

Sorry, but I can't understand the positive ratings. Conleau is nice for a small walk or a drink in a restaurant. But the beach? It is small and crowded. Sheltered spot within a nice bay with locals and tourists enjoying the sun. Easy access, ideal for children within a short distance of Vannes old town.

Well this was a nice surprise. Whilst camping in north Brittany we decided to take a day trip a bit further south to follow the sunshine. We literally picked this on the map and set off. When we arrived it looked a bit weird as the car park is opposite a man made lido. its a bit 'concretey' but was full of older generation swimmers. We parked up (change required) and walked round the corner to find a lovely little beach with loads of boats moored up. The kids went off to swim (not too deep in low tide) and look for shells - of which there were loads!! We got a great spot and sunbathed for an hour or two. Then we went for lunch in a restaurant wit a gorgeous outdoor area - moules, frites and ice cold chardonnay!!! Yum! Then the kids decided to go into the lido with their lilo..........hours later we had to extract them as the car parking had run out. All in all a brilliant day out, inexpensive and great for the kids!…
