We wanted to see the interior, but found the cathedral firmly locked. Apparently it is to be restored. From the outside, it looks pretty tatty, uncared for, apart from by the pigeons.

Erected in 12th century this half fortress - half cathedral is worth a visit. it offers a very interesting experience: very dark, humid and cold inside, only its beautiful stained glass windows offers some warmth.

This is a large cathedral which has a disappointing interior. The sanctuary is in the transept, and I suspect that a beautiful high altar and reredos were destroyed in the process of "modernizing". The only thing that is worthwhile seeing is the altar with the Blessed Sacrament on the Epistle side of the cathedral.…

Lovely building with various styles of architecture. The cathedral is close to the old town which has some interesting architecture and is quite charming.

You can hardly miss this cathedral when passing through st Brieuc,but as a cathedral lover I would not place the interior of this cathedral anywhere near in interest as say Quimper or Treguier. The stained glass is mainly nineteenth century. It's also a good deal smaller inside than what you might expect. …
