We went for lunch at a local auberge then went for a walk and discovered this. We had not done any research so this was a real find. Lots of history and a beautiful interior. Lovely location with well maintained grounds. Well worth a visit!

Although not a religious person myself, I do often visit centuries old churches for their beauty and often amazing architecture and stained glass windows. This “replacement” church felt a bit overblown, like many other 19yh century churches, it’s interesting for its history: in the 17th...More

An interesting site and a quiet place for a prayer and rededication to St Anne. Interesting to use the information leaflet to wander around the church.

This is a very nice town with a wonderful Basilique. Nice grounds as well as shops and restaurants. The church alone makes it a worthwhile visit.

Very impressive for a small town. Built to commemorate the sighting of St. Anne by a local villager. Then lost to a fire and rebuilt.. Or something like that

Lovely peaceful place to wander round. Certainly not as commercialised as Lourdes or Fatima! Afterwards we recommend a meal at the logis L auberge

An open site with the large basilica behind which is the oldest part, Le Tresor, with displays of donated items and other historical/religious documents and artefacts. There are garden ares and a large statue of Saint Anne standing in a beautiful green space.

This is an amazingly large Basilica, rather nice cloister plus a set of steps that pilgrims climb on their knees, although couldn't see any evident wear on the stone from the pilgrims. There was also a war Memorial to the 225,000, Bretons killed in World...More
