The best of Verbania: the Museum of Landscape and Villa Taranto botanical garden

Verbania is the chief town of the district around lake Maggiore; Pallanza, one of its centers, hosts the City hall and some of its most remarkable attractions. Among these, the outstanding Museum of Landscape, located in Palazzo Viani- Dugnani, keeps a vast collection of paintings, sculptures and photographs related to the culture and history of Lombardy and Piedmont.
This private tour will lead you to discover these collections and, after a pleasant walk, to experience a visit to Villa Taranto botanical gardens: a unique 18 hectares park created by a Scottish traveller, featuring rare plants, trees and flowers from all over the world.
Two different ways to witness the wonders of the landscapes of Lake Maggiore, which you will surely remember for long.

This course stands high on hills and the back-nine offer you magnificient views to Lago Maggiore and it’s surroundings. The uniqueness starts when you head to the course and drive your car up the mountain to reach the place. The clubhouse and the course are in solitude, so you will hear and see only the nature around you. And the marvellous nature, it really is the heart of this course! The holes are challenging with up- and downhills and the thick forest surrounding the holes. Remember to take a couple of extra balls with you... Front- and back-nines are unusual far away from others and there are also quite long transfers from greens to tees. I recommend to hire a cart or take an electronic trolley. If you want to golf in an unique nature, choose this course. And prepare to be compassionate for yourself because there will be challenges!

The staff were really friendly and helpful and the cost was reasonable. This was the first coutrse I have ever played where you can are offered the use pf a minibus to travel from the 9th to 10th! (it is well spread out and the course has hills and water hazards) Th views of the lakes and mountains are tremendous.

Well firstley I must say that the attitude at this club is spotless! A very welcoming staff and really helpful, something that I can say after visiting many of Italy's best ranked golf courses this past week can't be taken for granted! What you get for what you put into it is really good, we got our second greenfees for the day reduced for the price of the cart. And if you are like me that you want to carry lots of stuf including a big heavy camera you will want the car on this course. And you will also want your camera. Lots of really good golf holes and interesting layou true out the course. The greens are really good! The fairways and tees are not that good but you won't think that much about it. The worst point of the course is the bunkers, this is something that all Italian clubs has got in common. The sand is not the crushed marble that you would want. So if there is one thing all Italian clubs could do better it is for me the bunkers. Our lunch was noting special or good. Far from all dente pasta and was in need of seasoning. This is by Italian standards an excellent golf course that you will want to play again and again. If I come back to Italy for golf this will be my first pick.

This was a friendly golf club, slightly out of the way. It was raining so We took a buggy, which I normally would not do, but I'm glad we did as the course is very hilly and there are some long walks from the green to the next tee, especially the 10th, which seems about a mile away from the clubhouse. An interesting layout, with a stunning back nine and in reasonable condition. Had it been sunnier, there would have been some nice views. Was the cheapest of the 3 courses we played in the area and we had it to ourselves on a Wednesday morning. Friendly staff in the clubhouse.
