The duomo, built in the 12th century, is one of the most suburb examples of Umbrian Romanesque I have every seen. It houses magnificent works of art in the Baroque style. Each spring for 17 days the world-renounced music festival hosts, opera, theatre, dance, symphony,...More

Got to the site on a rainy morning, which added to the first impression you get as you turn the corner and see the Duomo in all its charm. Inside the Lippi frescoes are very nice.

The apse has a most unusual fresco of the Virgin Mary, an unusual comatesque floor, and the bell tower is worth the admission price and the climb!

The duomo is well worth the visit, the exterior is amazing and well preserved. The Lippi fresco in the apse is unusual as the subject matter is Mary rather than Jesus. The cosamatesque floor is exceptional and well preserved. The Federico Barbarossa icon is easily...More

Another mind blowing Cathedral. It’s amazing the different styles of each one you explore. This one was no exception. Incredible architecture and stunning colors. Free admission

It’s very frustrating when you visit a town on one day only and see a beautiful building and can’t go inside. I’ve no idea what their opening hours are. I understand this is a church but for tourists this is an attraction.

An imposing church with an interesting facade. Many works of art in there and the mosaic floors are incredible. Another one of those breathtaking sights as you climb the stairs from the escaltors that the crafty Spoletans have installed for your convenience.

Beautiful setting. The facade is very attractive. The Filippo Lippi murals are interesting. The piazza if front of the duomo is large and easily accessible down steps.
