We used the escalator with constant breaks descending from the Rocca back down into Spoleto It was a fun thing to do and more comfortable than walking downhill in the heat The views are good

Good way to reach the Rocca and the the town centre, confortable mobile staircases bring you to the top of the hill. During the "trip" you can have a beautiful sight on the countryside. It's a good way of moving after having left the car...More

The escalator is a very handy way of getting from the bottom of the town to the top - just be careful with the operating hours - it doesn't operate all evening - closing sometime around 8 or 9 pm.

I give this five stars because it saved me from walking up a ginormous hill after a 4-hour hike. I love that Spoleto has lots of parking lots at the bottom of the town, and escalators to the top. This discourages congestion and pollution in...More
