During the summer, grab a ski lift to one of the many refugios in the area and enjoy lunch. Hike down. Or hike up and take the lift back to town.

We hike here every year and it's the most beautiful place, somewhere truly good for the soul. An enormous range of trails but non particularly flat - although you're in the mountains, so to be expected!!

If you’ve only seen this area under snow then going in the summer will give you a whole new perspective. Stunning scenery in shades of verdant green and azure skies

Beautiful valley with free buses & good access to the mountains via an extensive chairlift system. Val Gardena is a key tourist area in Italy & the authorities are clearly keen to keep a very high standard of the infrastructure
