This is worth seeing. I suggest a taxi to get there, as its very steep. The views of the city from the church are breath-taking.

Walking through the old town between the buildings is certainly an experience. A very steep walk but certainly worth it once you reach the church. Great views. Would have been good if there was a map telling you what landmarks you could see. Beautiful church,...More

The church is on the top of quite a steep hil, or series of hills. Unfortunately the exterior of the church was covered in scaffolding and plastic at the time of our visit but the interior is worthy of the climb. The terrace surrounding the...More

The Santuario Madonna Della Costa is perched high above the town of Sanremo and is well worth the uphill walk through the old town. The interior of the church has to be seen, words simply will not do it justice. There are also spectacular panoramic...More

The crescendo of a climb through the ancient buildings of the old town.it is worth reading the history presented in a range of languages. The Church had many beautiful aspects. Well worth the effort.

We have seen some many churches in Europe that we are in danger of feeling "church fatigue" butt this is one of the most beautiful churches inside that I have ever seen.

The walk up to Sanctuario is paved with a stone mosaic that was laid there 1651. Its stil in use! All worth the walk up from down to the top of town. 100 odd meter height difference. You earned a cafe on the way down,...More

We inadvertently came across this beautiful church as a result of roadworks blocking our intended route. As everyone has said before me, quite the most beautiful place of worship, with views over the bay to die for.
