We visited on a very warm day and it was quite stifling inside, however the stunning frescos made up for it. Unfortunately the outside of the building was covered in scaffolding so we couldn't see much

The paintings are quiet new except the framed ones..nice to find an orthodox culture there. Even if you don’t care about the religious facts, go to see the Kremlin type external structure and analyze a little bit the figures inside to understand.

If you are passing this church it is certainly worth a look. It costs €1 to enter. Small but unique.

it was very interesting to learn about the history of this church and the history of Sanremo. The grounds keeper gave us a really good tour (in italian) and free, he was so proud.

Loved to see this old church. Fascinating carvings, stone work, crypts, learn the history of people in Sanremo, the Russian and Eastern European wealthy royals influence.

I was not familiar with the Sanremo history with the Russians. The church is under renovation but we were able to get in and spend time there. The woman at the front admissions desk was extremely pleasant and polite and spent time explaining the history...More
