It was worth walking away from the beautiful centre of Ravello along small shaded paths to find these gardens. I loved the fairytale entrance and first steps inside. The shaded walk to the end of the garden was wonderful and then the view of the...More

Villa Cimbrone is a delight. It is located just off the main square of Ravello. I felt I was in a maze walking around the beautiful grounds. Lots of spots for photos and many wonderful flowers and shrubs. The grounds are on multi-level which makes...More

A beautiful setting at the ‘end’ of Ravello with superb views, simple but well maintained gardens and a lovely relaxing walk.

fantastic piece of land but where’s the gardener when you need em? Not worth the cover charge. The bequeather of these lands would be grumpy if he saw this.

I do not usually review places but the villa cimbrone gardens are a must see if you are visiting ravello. Situated at the far end of the village these beautiful gardens with an easy to follow map provides one with spectacular views and intricate gardens....More

Let's start by stating that if your one and only idea of a garden is to have lots of neatly trimmed flower beds, carefully manicured lawns and everything labelled as to what that particular plant/tree is, then you'd be best advised to stay away. The...More

After quite a hilly walk from the main Ravello square, we found that the gardens were well laid out with some architectural spots to stop at along the footpaths. There were some lovely views from the terrace and it was well worth a visit. There...More

This place suffers by comparison with the nearby and spectacularly good, Villa Rufolo. It is mostly a large garden, in poor condition, well past its best years. The best part of this is the walk from the piazza, which is free.

Automatically sceptical it would be worth 7 euro to visit the small gardens. And while the gardens were pleasant enough (but nothing exceptional) the view really is worth the money and is the best in Ravello and a close second in Amalfi.

Our first trip to Italy and heard about villa Cimbrone gardens the first day in Ravello only to discover in order to get there involves a HUGE uphill climb. However my husband decided it would be a challenge and was determined I should see it....More

Don't worry. It is like entering a cinema, you pay 7 euro entrance and that is all you need to do. They give you also a free map of the garden. I mean it is an open-garden, so there is no limit on space. Enjoy !!

There is no parking in the area near the Villa. Your best bet is to park near the town entrance and walk the streets. If you are staying at a hotel nearby you can have your luggage portered in.
