Walk is well worth doing but very hot. Can be steep and rocky in places and quite challenging. Wear good walking shoes, wear a hat and bring water.

If you are in Amalfi, you have to do this walk and then you will know why it is called Walk of the Gods. You will never be disappointed.

This is one of the top things that nearly everyone who goes to the Amalfi coast recommends. Many say that it isn't too bad of a hike, but beware, although this hike has some of the world's best views, depending on where you start and...More

Personally both inet and TripAdvisor lack a clear guide about the walk, about where to start and where to end etc. Well here it is. We left the car in Amalfi, there 's a big garage over there. We took the local bus for Bomerano...More

This hike is one of the best I've ever been on. It has a constant view of the Tyrrhenian Sea and as you continue walking you can see the small seaside villages of Praiano and Positano

My wife and I were last on the Amalfi Coast in 2011. On that trip we stayed in Nocelle and walked about a mile of the path and retraced our steps as the fog rolled in. One of the reasons for returning was to walk...More

Breathless walk - take the day to do all of it and find a way back. Easy to find and really worth it. I liked that it is not paved. You meet many people of all types doing this

The walk that we found more scenic and had far greater variety was from (Amalfi) to Revello via the water fall (sorry forgot the name). The falls were by the old paper mill. The trail also goes to Pontone and Scalla. The Path of the...More

I did the walk starting and finishing in Praiano walking to Nocello. Under three hours round trip at a brisk pace. I started early 6:15 which was great plenty of light and not hot, the sunrise lighting up the coast was beautiful to watch. You...More

My husband and I are active people and we really enjoyed this hike. Our legs were very sore the following day from all the stairs but we felt it was well worth it. If you like to stay active on vacation, this hike is for...More

There is no need to walk any steps. The steps come up in the middle of the hike. Instead take the local bus from Amalfi up to the start (or from Positano to the other end). You can indeed walk part way and then turn around.
