A highlight of the Amalfi coast & not well patronised. It's a 'good' hike to get there, but well worth it. The caretaker gives a very good quick tour, and then lets you explore at your leasure.

You have to climb a fair few steps to reach this castle, but the views from the castle are outstanding. Take some money, as you need to pay 5 euros each to enter the castle, which provides a small guided tour of the rooms, plus...More

The challenging climb up was well worth the views and interesting history. Was far better than we had anticipated.

It appears at the summit of the hill which you can figure out the dominant structure of the Maiori Castle. It’s a beautiful sight walking to it and still the proud villages of Carpineto and Accola’s dominating figure.
