As per other reviews, this is quite a hike from the main town. Worth checking opening times before setting off, we were lucky and got there for it opening in the afternoon (3 until 7). The elderly man who lives there speaks little English and...More

Easy to reach from the centre of Maiori, with many steps going up to the castle. Got lost on the way up, personally I blame the wife. Was met at the castle by the owner who showed us the basics, and then when some other...More

Castle closed 17.07.18 because of owner having had eye operation. there a re so many steps up that you may wish to to find out if it's now open before going up. we enjoyed the climb anyway!

Beautiful place with nice view to Maiori and sea. Lots of all kinds of flowers, butterflies, birds, quietness. The actual castle was closed for renovation (?), so we couldn’t get in.

We climbed to the castle from Maiori town centre and were pleased that we'd take a water bottle to refill at the fountains we passed on our way. The curator spoke enough English to explain the significance of the castle in the history of the...More
