You can go into the courtyard and see the castle from the inside, otherwise you need to pay 10 EURO per person and I could not see the point of this. Not a great deal to see but good to wander around the outside of...More

If you are in Lecce is of course a must. We did not enter but the view of the castle from outside is really interesting.

Lots of history in this castle, which is relatively well preserved. Some areas are not accessible due to renovations, which is a pity. On the ground floor we could see the entrance, the inner court yard with remains from medieval construction, and the passage to...More

We would definitely not recommend people to go here. You pay €10,- per person and the majority of the castle is off limits. Also all the information provided was only in Italian. The best thing we saw was a temporary exposition.

The rooms the visitor can see are very limited for the fare paid. Just a small section of the yard and four or five empty rooms that houses some contemporary excibitions. I expected more for the fare paid. Disappointment

When hesitating to enter, the man at the ticket counter pointed us to a map at the entrance saying that it showed all the parts of the castle that could be visited. We payed 10euros each to discover that this was a lie and that...More

Unfortunately half of this building was closed. What we saw had some interest - needs more money spent to restore/make more interesting. The art exhibition was interesting though and it was a relief to take shelter in the cool away form the heatwave 44+ degrees....More

I paid 10 euros to visit what I thought may be an interesting castle and some art exhibitions. Complete waste of money. Little to look at in the castle - and being English I'm happy to look round ruins of castles! - didn't really enjoy...More

Unfortunately I only saw the bad reviews after I visited. It's really a pity that they haven't done more with this castle. Entrance fee is a total rip off, no two ways about it. Most of the castle is not accessible. Only small court yard...More

It is a beautiful building.. sparse of course .. it IS a medeaval castle after all, but it has been well restored and of course the beautiful pale sandstone makes for a lovely soft ambiance... not like our sombre English monsters. I nearly didn't go...More
