The Basilica is being repaired and has a tarp covering the front but we were still able to go inside. Beautiful. Worth a visit.

Although under renovation, this magnificent baroque basilica will still take your breath away. Built between 1549 and 1695, it has 16 altars, with the left one considered one of the finest pieces of baroque in southern Italy.

Another impressive Baroque style Basilica, claiming to have bits of Christ’s Cross. If you added together all the alleged bits of holy cross located throughout the World, the original cross must have been massive.

Stunning baroque interior, although currently being renovated it is worth making time to visit during the restricted opening hours.

Even if the facade was under renovation, you can visit the interior. It is open only in the morning and in the afternoon (17:00). It is extremely beautiful, it must be seen.

A wonderful baroque church in the centre of the city. Baroque at its best. Truly a must visit when in the city.

The outside was in scaffolding when we were there, but the inside is still good and interesting. Worth seeing.

Beautiful baroque church in the centre of historic Lecce, worth popping inside as well to have a look around look at the ceiling when in here!
