We love all things Italia, bit this was stunning. Such beautiful scenery and gorgeous warm weather even in October. Highly recommend taking a car all round the lake and exploring every part.

Take a bus trip to Malcesine, then the cable car to the summit of mount Baldo, fantastic sites. Go for a boat trip to the Island of Isola and Salo itself, it is also essential to visit san Gorgio church and Vapolecilla.

It is the ideal place to explore all the towns on the south and north lake. As the bus service are frequent, and its also easy to use the Ferries.

Try using the ferries to explore other resorts around the lake. It's more relaxing than the buses and you can get drinks and snacks too (and use the toilet if you need it)

A good base for touring round the lake. Market in Garda is great fun. Loads of bars and eateries on the lake front.

Rent a car - there is a lot of good places to visit around the lake. You can travel by bus, but a car will give you extra posibilities.
