The place is a wonder of roman engeneering and incredibly well preserved. The guide was very nice and knowledgeable. She aswered all the questions. I really recommend to visit it!

Currently open every day except Monday 7:30-10:30pm this summer and limited times during the year. If you have never seen a city cistern, this is very interesting. At this time, call 349-532-8280 for reservation. There is a 3 euro entry fee. Tours are normally in...More

We didn’t know about this place earlier but decided to visit since Kelle Terre’s very helpful Aurora suggested it. Guided tour at the cisternone was good, the place was magical and personnel very helpful and professional.

this is certainly an amazing site and beautifully excavated, The guide was excellent speaking in Italian and English. He was so knowledgeable and seemed to enjoy telling us about the cisternone.A fascinating insight to the past.

Apparently very beautiful but it was closed. It does not open the entire year, in December it is closed almost all the time, very bad, as it took us some time to find it, the location is hidden.
