This is an enjoyable place for a stroll, plenty of good eateries and coffee/pastry shops. And, of course , all kinds of outdoor gear! There is a parking area but if you are staying in a local hotel, you are better off walking.
The center of Cortina is very quaint, it is not very large but there is a good supermarket and some really great places to eat! It is a good place to spend an hour or two walking around or to go out for a meal.
We stayed at the Parc Victoria which is at the bottom end of the main high street and it was very nice to stroll through the streets in and around the church with its magnificent bell tower.

It should not take you more than two ours to cover the downtown. You may take this opportunity to check for restaurants for dinner if your tour is not covering that.
