Hiked with a local friend in the early morning up to Lago di Sorapiss. The colour of the water is a 'tiffany' blue that has to be seen to be believed. I swam in the shallow lake - it was cold but not numbingly so....More

If you want to see the lake as per google reviews with beautiful coloured water - go in summer with the crowds. We just completed the amazing hike with only seeing a few others on the trail. The only downside was that the lake was...More

Everything the other five-star reviews say is truly of this hike: the trail and views are gorgeous, the lake is supernaturally beautiful. If you're so inclined, it's absolutely worth the trip. HOWEVER! If you are new to hiking or have a fear of heights, prepare...More

Drove to Tre Croci Pass and walked on 215 for 2H10. The trail is a bit challenging if you walk without trekking poles but overall is enjoyable. However, I went the on 16th Oct 2017, the lake has become to a pond. We were being...More

A beautiful Lake in the Dolomites. As Funhogs from BC, Canada, mentioned, in his area such a small lake does not even get mentioned. I have been Canada several times...my favourite spot is actually Banff Natiuonal Park. But is not the dimension of a lake...More

Okay, A great quick hike with jaw dropping views, this is a hike routinely done by elderly people and small children in the Dolomites. The lake is very beautiful (and euro-crowded) and the slopes rise up dramatically, worth a visit. There are a ton of...More

I was born in Cortina d'Ampezzo and I actually do not remember going to the Sorapis lake before.A very easy walk if you are familiar with mountain terrain, slightly boring if compared to others simply because you do the same walk up and down. So...More

We found the hike to be a little more challenging than reviews made it seem. Definitely not a killer, but still an average hike difficulty back home in Utah. Anyway, the lake itself is breathtaking. We couldn’t get ourselves to leave. Just wanted to stare....More

Please don't miss this hike. We've hiked in the US, Canada, Switzerland, Norway and Italy and this is one of our top hikes. We loved having our poles with us. Made it to the lake in 90 minutes and that included many stops for photos....More

No not yet . We are kind of a last minute planners. From what I have seen all places with beautiful location and reasonable price are already booked. What else are you planning to visit in the Dolomites?
