About

We arranged to have a wine tasting experience whilst on holiday. We had driven past often on our travels as we have a house in Chieti.
We were greeted with a big smile and a very warm welcome from Sabrina. We had a tour of the winery then a detailed explanation of each wine tasted. We had sparkling, white, rose and red wines. We had mortadella and pecorino cheese Served with bread drizzled in oil. Sabrina speaks beautifully in English.
Overall a fabulous 2 hours spent at a very traditional Italian winery.
It was also great to meet Fabio too.
If you get the chance to go you will not be disappointed.
See you in September!
Thank you Sabrina x

The wine tasting was amazing. First she guided us around the facility explaining how the wine is made. Then they even let us take photos in the vineyards. After we got to taste 9 different wines which were accompanied by nibbles. Each wine was explained clearly. They let us take our time and the views were incredible. Overall a very enjoyable experience and I highly recommend it.

I highly recommend a visit to this small scale wine maker, who decided to re-boot his great grandfather's wine farm, using only local traditional grapes.

What distinguishes the visit to this cantina from others is that you are not lectured by a public relations person, but you are chatting with an in-the-flesh wine maker. In the middle of his grape plantation. He seemed to be very knowledgable in all aspects of wine making, from hands-on activities such as cultivating and harvesting grapes, through the chemistry of wine to relations with the authoraties.

I could ask stupid questions like "what makes red wine red ?", "how can you tell when to harvest ?" and "what does this and that mean on the label of a wine bottle ?". And get comprehensible answers in excellent english, from a first-hand source with a true passion for wine making.

Educational, entertaining, and well worth the visit! Fabio and Giuseppe treated (and fed) us like family. Our favorite wine was the rosé with the cherry color. We learned about the process, the region, and did so with music and food and wonderful characters. Strongly recommended.

My husband and I visited yesterday afternoon and were greeted warmly by Fabio, the vineyard owner. His English was excellent as he explained the history of the vineyard and gave us 7 different wines to taste, ranging from very dry to sweet. He told us how each wine was made and answered our questions, it was a very informative and enjoyable experience and a great way to discover local culture. We were there for a couple of hours and bought several bottles of his delicious wine.
