This is such a beautiful church in a great little town. The Arabic influences make this church a little different that what you normally think of when you think of a church in Italy. The square in front of the church is full of life...More

Classic Norman style cathedral, built by Roger II who also built Monreale Cathedral, adorned with some very beautiful and classic Byzantine mosaics and a baptistry carved from a single slab of stone.

Visited during our stay here. Whilst we're not religious I can appreciate that this may be quite a spiritual place. It didn't do anything for me, but I liked the altars, although a little gaudy.

Beautiful cathedral in a beautiful medieval city. Well worth a visit. They call cefalu the pearl of Sicily and it most certainly is.

The cathedral is beautiful. The mosaics are gorgeous. It was closed the first day we went, but I’m glad we were able to have the chance to see it the next day.

Enjoy this church from the outside. If you have seen the Duomo in Montreale you will be underwhelmed by the interior. Sit outside and enjoy the hustle and bustle outside as the sun sets.

If you have to choose between a visit to Monreale cathedral and this church go to Monreale. There is much more to see there and the town itself is smaller but more authentic. Cefalù is crowded with tourists. The cathedral of Cefalù from the outside...More

In 1131, Roger II from Normandy began construction of the new cathedral at Cefalu with a design that mixes Norman and Moorish architecture, reused old columns and capitals from ruined Roman buildings and has beautiful mosaics in the sanctuary, still as brilliant today as they...More

The cathedral is easily found through the narrow streets of Cefalù - it’s signposted everywhere. It’s situated at the top of the main square. In and around the square there are many coffee shops where you can sit outside and admire the view! It’s free...More

Hi, Drive (or take a bus trip) to the "Marsala Cantine Pellegrino Winery" in Marsala where, besides trying their wine, you will see three beautiful examples of Sicilian carts in their display area. Enjoy.
