Amazing
Apr 2021
Having relatives in Caserta, I visited it many times, but the last time I visited it was on a schooltrip in my senior year of high school. My mum told me that back in the 80s it was not so well-kept, but some years ago it was requalified and now we can admire “her” in all “her” splendour!

Disappointed
May 2021
We were a group of around 12 people.
We got our tickets online on ticketone.com and printed it at home (thank god a friend told me that).

Starting with the parking. It is really disappointing, it looks still under construction, no proper lights and unauthorized parking guys waiting for money which we didn't give as you already pay 1euros every hour. I believe they don't take cards so bring coins.

The English gardens are not well maintained at all, trees with a minimum of hundreds of years are left dying probably because they need too much maintenance and they can't be asked.

Direction signs are almost inexistent so you basically just get lost or have to memorize the tiny map at the English garden's entrance gate.

There are funny people whistling at you if you do anything wrong. They work there. Other members of the staff just spend their working time looking at their phones. Such hard work.

The room's staff also screams at you if you touch or do anything forbidden because they can't be asked to walk and kindly ask things. Never experienced this before at Louvre or the British Museum.

I suggest you don't waste your money there and maybe they will hire more professional staff and maintain the gardens better when they realize that tourists don't bring their money there anymore.

It such a shame that the Reggia di Caserta a UNESCO heritage site is so badly administrated.

Very disappointing

I am very disappoimted by the Royal palace administration. Using Covid as a pretext, they closed the tocket office. Now, you need a ton of extra time and revistration in a mono-lingual website to buy the new digital but more expensive tickets. I am sorry there is no rating 0, cause that's what this organsation deserves.

Skippable, if you go MUST buy tickets online.

We arrived without tickets, which was our fault. You can ONLY buy tickets online. We parked in the underground parking garage right at, and came upstairs to graffiti. And weeds. Apparently Covid broke the lawnmowers and weed eaters. We were still going to go in of course, but then we realized we had to buy online, and the next entry time was an hour away. There is NOTHING to do while you wait, or even anywhere to sit.

The long walking towards the beginning of the waterfall with its beautifulf gardens
The master piece of the Royal palace and its inside.
All very nice, an example of organisation and welcome.
Italy is wonderful, a lot of Master pieces are in the South.

Better than Versailles
Aug 2020 • Family
This was something of a surprise when planning our trip to Naples. We took the train from the city and arrived opposite the stunning palace. The scale is greater than Versailles and the reduced visitor numbers meant that we could spend our time admiring the state rooms in our own time. However, it was perhaps the gardens that were the highlights. They are big enough to warrant their own bus tour!

This is one of the masterpieces that Italy has. In the little city of Caserta, near Napoli, there is this suggestive palace and its park. Excellent.

very nice place

beautiful place, the castle is huge and is a little more common, but very beautiful, there are so many others in italy with similar environments, but the garden is incredible, a very nice walk, even in the very hot summer it was worth it
