Even late at night this place is as safe as awesome. We had some Anisetta and then visited the city. It is a magic place, where you can hang out whatever hour of the day (Maybe not when it is really hot) and the indigenous...More

Piazza del Popolo is really a jewel, featuring the Popolo palace and a lot of other historical buildings and a great church. Do stop by at night, where the lights give full justice to this historical masterpiece

This piazza dates to at least 1200 and is very impressive. The cathedral is at one end but all the buildings are worth a view - including the old cafe/Gelateria at one end - a great way to view the piazza

THE place for people watching, caffe, olive ascolane, drinks, historic views. And it's free! Bordered on the north by St. Francisco Church, on the east and south by shops and restaurants, on the west by the Palazzo del Capitani (and by Melitti Coffee).

We enjoyed the architecture, the vibe and the food. We especially enjoyed the fried olive treats and Campari at Cafe Meletti
