We visited this piazza on a hot summer’s day. It was not busy so the piazza was more viewable. A few people were using the attractive fountains to cool themselves off.

This piazza is not so beautiful as Piazza de popolo but if you are walking around in the city center you will probably see this as well. Surrounded with old buildings and the Cattedrale di Sant'Emidio is located here.

This is a lively place at any time. If you're looking for some very cheap clothing or shoes, the piazza is full of stalls on Saturday morning. At other times it's good for people-watching or just sitting in a cafe.

Okay, not the main square in the town but a great place to simply watch the world go by. The sea horse fountains are a photo opportunity. The square is also home to the Duomo and several cafes one a gelateria also.

a very beautiful square (my number 2 in Ascoli). I love the horses fountains (it's drinking water!!!) and the nice bars along the side. Stop at the corner for a bag of Olive Ascolane, the stuffed and fried olives, delicious!

Not as breathtaking as Piazza del Popolo but still worth a visit. It is a large rectangular square with harmonious medieval and less ancient buildings, palaces and churches, with many shops, restaurants and bars. Because of the large area it often housed events, protests and...More

Walking around the old streets of the city center, one small square will arise: Piazza Arringo. Nice antique doors and windows to be photographed as well as the sculptures seen in the fountain.

Great architecture in the buildings that comprise Piazza Arringo, and pleasant caffé from where you can watch life pass by. In the time we were there, many events held in the square including classic car show, and antique fair. The piazza comprises the cathedral of...More

The fountain with the 'seahorses' is really beautiful, particularly at night when the spotlights shine on the piece and the clear water reflects the light up. The church in the background makes it a nice backdrop especially for a sunset photo, when the travertine stones...More
