We walked through this area during the day and at night. It is typical of Italian towns— a large square and lovely cathedral. In the evening we ate at some outstanding restaurants in the area. Gelato shops are everywhere— great selections!

As many others have said, Alba Old Town Central Storico is a quaint older Italian town. If you have never visited Italy before, I would expect that Alba would be exactly what you might imagine. Narrow streets, wine, truffle shops, beautiful older architecture and storefronts,...More

Alba is such a nice little town, quite a few shops and lovely piazzas. Lovely just to walk around and watch people.

This is a very nice urban setting with a mix od medieval buildings and more recent, all nice blending together. It is rather small and it can be walked comfortably since it is mostly pedestrian traffic only. Great abundance of very good bars and restaurants

Beautiful Centro Storico, one of many in Italy. It has all attributes that most of the prominent Italian Centro Storicos have. There is a great, preserved architecture, nice urban layout, many high fashion boutiques, as well as many small, charming cafés, churches, etc. You could...More

Alba is a flat unassuming orderly little town, with a few piazzas and many little interesting streets. There are many churches and Towers to visit, even a carousel of elaborately designed and painted horses for children to ride, and many shops selling wines and local...More

Alba is a great town--flat for a change, as it's situated in a VALLEY, in contrast to the plethora of HILL TOWNS. Great piazzas, gorgeous churches, nice shopping, and of course lots of restaurants and gelaterias. Great Truffle store. Etc.
