About
Villa Ottolenghi-Wedekind is a historical house built in the first half of '900 in the hills of Acqui Terme by Count Arturo Ottolenghi and his wife Herta Wedekind zu Host. At the final result worked some of the most prominent artist of the time as architects Marcello Piacentini and Gio Ponti, the landscape artist Pietro Porcinai and artists like Adolfo Wildt, Libero Andreotti, Ferruccio Ferrazzi, Arturo Martini, Venanzo Crocetti and Fortunato Depero. Our visitors will be able to: view the interior and exterior of the Villa, immerse yourself in the magic scenery of the park, to be fascinated by the paintings in the spectacular Temple of Herta; view the private museum of the Counts, taste a high quality certified wine production inside our Borgomonterosso Winery; to be amazed by the architectural immensity of the collection of the Acquae and the Artists' Studies, to walk among our vineyards and, from 2017, to stay where the Counts Ottolenghi lived through the renowned Relais de Charme.

Despite being one of the hottest days of the year we had a lovely tour of the villa and grounds with a wine tasting at the end. Our tour guide Chiara spoke excellent English and proved highly knowledgeable of the venue and its history, thoroughly charming and professional, she really brought to life the history of the place and the family. Aside from the beautiful modernist architecture and gardens and incredible views it is worth visiting just to see the incredible ironwork and metal detailing with some of the most beautiful and playful locks and door mechanism I have ever seen. Look out for the little dragon holding the gate open!

Thanks Preime for your beautiful review and for your compliments. Villa Ottolenghi is art and beauty; the architecture, the gardens, the view of Acqui Terme and the ironwork (created by Ferrari maesters), are a great example of splendor, in big and small details, which the residential complex has! In the event that, you want to come back, you will always be welcome!
