My husband did the sand boarding trip with Robert and I was the photographer! It was a fantastic experience. Robert was very personable and professional and it was great that we were the only ones on the dunes. The views are fantastic and my husband who is a snowboarder thoroughly enjoyed the experience. You have to be reasonably fit to keep climbing back up the dunes but well worth it ( I’m told!) We swam in the river then Robert then took us for a boat trip up the river which was lovely. Thoroughly recommend this activity and thank you Robert.

Load shedding then 6 hour power outage then when power came on plugs didnt work so no tea or coffee. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The R2500 breakage fee were not stated clearly in the terms and conditions. Some of the sliding doors upstairs wouldnt open.

Very personable and knowledgeable guide made for a great introduction to Addo Elephant National Park with Norman. We were a party of two and were really lucky to have seen elephants, a feeding lion as well as zebras and warthogs plus dung beetles plus so much more. Thanks to Norman and Sunday Rivers Adventures for a great outing!

Overnight canoeing trip on the Sundays river was an experience not easily forgotten.
It is a 12.5km canoe trip on the fastest flowing river in South Africa. It was our first time to participate in any canoeing adventure. What an awesome day it was. Despite one of our team capsizing 3 times, the experience was unforgettable. The river was quiet with very few boats on it. We were taken care of from the beginning of the trip until we checked out the following day. I will recommend this to any person, experienced or not, fit or unfit. The trip is not a marathon and you are free to complete at your own space.

We thoroughly enjoyed the boat ride with Adam up the river and then he dropped us off to do the sand boarding which was great fun for all of us. I give these two excursions 5 out of 5 but where they fell down was at the Reception and service at the restaurant. Upon our arrival it was a bit rough and ready there and there was a heated discussion going on between staff members. We ordered something light to eat before going up the river but it seemed to take forever to arrive and had to rush to eat it as it was time to go. Need to jack this area up.
The boat ride and sand boarding were great excursions to do and if in the area then do yourself a favour and enjoy.

We were on a large flat bottomed two storey boat. We had hired it for 2 1/2 hours.We cruised down the river to the Sand Dunes.Our children enjoyed sand boarding.Steep climb up the dunes, And then whizzing down on boards well waxed by the crew. Great views and miles of sand dunes.Very good birdwatching.Excellent!

We were 5 Welsh Rugby supporters who booked a 2.5 hour Sunday afternoon boat trip up and down the Sunday River. We took our own drinks and snacks as stated on their website. The boat’s captain, Marius has great passion for and knowledge of the nature of the area, its history and we had a very special experience and we all enjoyed the trip on the water. Beautiful scenery. We also saw a variety of bird life and also some monkeys running to and from the banks of the river before disappearing in to the undergrowth. The river was filled with fish and it was fun manoeuvring up and down the river.

Good day, a little background leading to my request. My granddaughter is at Beyond Adventure in Alicedale for the year. We are from Pretoria visiting in Port Alfred to celebrate. Last week we celebrated my moms 81st birthday, today we celebrate mine, coming Wednesday we celebrate our wedding anniversary, Friday we celebrate my husband"s birthday and Saturday my granddaughter turn 19. As she is under strict rules at Beyond Adventure, I would love to spend a day away with her to celebrate. We will be travelling from Port Alfred to collect her. As there are no place close to Alicedale to spend the day together, I would like to do a boattrip for the 4 of us. Will this be possible and if so, where to book?
